This gene encodes a member of the RHOGAP family. GAP (GTPase-activating) family proteins participate in signaling pathways that regulate cell processes involved in cytoskeletal changes. GAP proteins alternate between an active (GTP-bound) and inactive (GDP-bound) state based on the GTP:GDP ratio in the cell. This family member is a multidomain protein that functions to promote Erk activation and cell motility. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Read-through transcripts from the upstream proline rich 5, renal (PRR5) gene into this gene also exist, which led to the original description of PRR5 and ARHGAP8 being a single gene. DNA lentivector for transduction information Lentiveral packaging plasmid DNA for non-viral plasmid transfection and direct use in plasmid expression. This DNA can alos be used for packaging into Lentiviral particles for high efficiency transduction and stably integrated expressions. GENTAUR suggests to use our ABM packaging mix LV003 of second generation virusses or the LV053, our 3rd Generation Packaging mixture. pLenti lentiviral plasmids DNAs are stored in 10milliMolar Tris/HCI with 1mM EDTA at a pH of 8 at -25 C. Vectors with selection markers like kanamycin, puromycin or cumate are available.Lentiviral technical files Lentivirus references

Gene info PRR5 Antibody: Proline-rich protein 5 (PRR5), also known as Protor-1, is a 388 amino acid protein in Protor family, is thought to act as a tumor suppressor in breast and colorectal tumorigenesis. PRR5 is widely expressed and possesses two RICTOR interaction sites and a C-terminal Proline rich region. It promotes Rapamycin complex 2 (mTORC2) activity. There are four isoforms of PRR5 that are produced as a result of alternative splicing events and these isoforms play an important role in the modulation of platelet-derived growth factor signaling and in the regulation of PDGFR-beta expression.Gene names PRR5 Antibody: PP610, PROTOR1, PROTOR-1, FLJ20185k, PP610, Proline-rich protein 5, Protein observed with Rictor-1, Protor-1Antibodie's label unlabelled serum
