ACTN3 Recombinant Protein

Actn3 recombinant protein Catalog: OPCD01059 | Size: one vial | Price: €256.95 Supplier: aviva

Storage: For short term storage ACTN3 Recombinant Protein may be kep at +4 deg. C. For long term storage keep the aliquoted vials frozen at -20 degrees Celsius. Tips: Due to handling and transportation, small amounts of the ACTN3 Recombinant Protein may get caught on the walls or seal of the vials. Prior to use briefly rund the vial(s) through a centrifuge to collect all of the content on the bottom. Avoid freezing and thawing the vials numerous times as such cycles may denaturate the peptide chains and influence the item's performance. Alternative name: actinin, a 3 (gene/pseudogene) recombinant Protein

ACTN3 gene: actinin alpha 3 (gene/pseudogene)

ACTN3D

Summary

This gene encodes a member of the alpha-actin binding protein gene family. The encoded protein is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle and functions as a structural component of sarcomeric Z line. This protein is involved in crosslinking actin containing thin filaments. An allelic polymorphism in this gene results in both coding and non-coding variants; the reference genome represents the coding allele. The non-functional allele of this gene is associated with elite athlete status. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014]
